Capitola Book Cafe hosts their next Author Event dedicated to the book, My Postwar Life: New Writings from Japan and Okinawa. The book consists of a collection of essays from writers and authors about the complex relationship between Japan and the U.S. in the long aftermath of war. This event will feature UCSC Professor Hiroshi Fukurai, Professor of Japanese at UCSC Sakae Fujita, Professor of Literature at UCSC Karen Tei Yamashita, and editor Elizabeth McKenzie as they discuss their contributions to this powerful book.
