Influenced by the contemporary jazz canon, rhythms from around the world, hip-hop, R&B, the classical avant-garde, and beyond, this Bay Area-based electroacoustic collective’s mission is to explore ideas around composition and improvisation.

Steve Blum - keyboards
Mark Clifford - vibraphone
Doug Stuart - bass
Steve Blum, a versatile pianist, composer, improviser, and music director, has studied and performed with artists such as Charlie Haden, Wadada Leo Smith, Joe LaBarbera, Vinny Golia, and Tony Clifton. He plays with several Bay Area bands, including the Dirty Snacks Ensemble, the Electric Squeezebox Orchestra, Disappear Incompletely, Junior Reggae, Aram Shelton's Marches, and Bells Atlas. Blum released his most recent effort, Keyboarchestra Vol. 2: Martian Moon Music and 35 Other Short Pieces, in 2016.
