On September 11 and 12th, Silicon Valley will have the opportunity to experience “La Academia” – Comcast’s all-new interactive mobile sports extravaganza, which features interactive activities including soccer video games, a Soccer Cage, a Soccer Free Kick area and exciting prizes and giveaways at the 39th Annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival.ON SUNDAY ONLY – La Academia will host a special appearance by renowned Mexican goalkeeper and Los Angeles Galaxy alum Jorge Campos, giving fans a chance to meet the soccer great one-on-one and get autographed Comcast give-a-ways.
“La Academia” is a grassroots initiative designed with the Hispanic community and sports fan in mind. The branded truck and pop-up experience is making its way to major community events and festivals across the U.S. in 2010. It aims to promote and foster a passion for sports and highlight the multitude of sports programming available to all Comcast customers in English and Spanish.
The event is free and open to the public.
