On SUNDAY, January 22, 2012, Daly City Council Member David Canepa is teaming up with local DJ and legend Keith O and Filipino Chinese Daly City Native Melody Ybona Gawliu to bring a new event with free admission to town – the First Annual Asian American Cultural Festival.

The Asian American Cultural Festival is a not-for-profit, family-friendly festival organized by Over the Fog, whose mission is to foster understanding and appreciation of Asian American culture, identity, community and diversity through events, programs and activities.

For the First Annual Celebration, we will not only celebrate Asian American culture in Daly City but will also celebrate the NFL Championship and 100 years of Daly City history.
The Asian American Cultural Festival will be taking over Classic Bowling Center in Daly City (900 King Drive, Daly City, CA 94015) and the celebration will be from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some of our featured events and activities will be: FREE BOWLING, a Kids Zone for kids to make crafts, play some games and win prizes, Arts/Crafts/Info Booths, Grub Crawl Food Zone and NFL Championship Viewing Party, a Special edition Friday Night Knock Outs – A series of coffee house style performances, and other Live Performances held on our Allied Waste Performance Stage. We will also have giveaways throughout the day.

For the Grub Crawl Food Zone and NFL Championship Viewing Party, we encourage you to come sporting your favorite football team. We will have some giveaways and what is better than watching the game with other fans? For all you foodies, we will have a special treat by having the Mogo BBQ truck and Rice-Rockit Truck come indoors to sell food.
