Dutchman Dave Huismans aka 2562 – the number referring to his former zipcode in The Hague – is on a journey. Having played an early pioneering role in bridging the gap between house/techno and cutting edge ‘bass music’, the passion to keep reinventing himself is pretty much the only constant factor in his music, eschewing trendhopping and safeplaying in favour of an innovative and personal handwriting like few others on the scene. Most recently his third longplayer ‘Fever’ – currently showing up in many best-of-2011 lists – offered an extreme reworking of late seventies disco and early eighties boogie into something genuinely new: heavy on soundshaping and beatfreakery, but more importantly straight from the soul. It marked the launch of his new When In Doubt imprint, a platform for his own future endeavours and whichever other honest, formula-free music will present itself.

As You Like It (AYLI) is the result of a shared taste for quality electronic music, late nights and experiences that focus on cutting-edge sounds by today’s most driven artists, while striving for and acknowledging timelessness.
