Description
Celebrate Earth Day with this fun, informative, and all natural Indigo Dye workshop led by local artist instructor Zoë Umholtz. Participants will create stunning textile samples using folding, tying and/or pole wrapping techniques while learning the uniqueness of dying with Indigo.Workshop fee include one yard of muslin fabric, indigo dye bath and simple dye resist materials. * Gloves are NOT included. Students must bring their own pre-washed cotton, linen, hemp and silk fabrics (ex: t-shirts, table linens, pillow cases, makeup bags and totes) Got any old garments or fabrics? In the spirit of celebrating the Earth, Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse.

Cost: $65 Member | $75 General includes materials
Workshop fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable
Zoë Umholtz is a graduate of Oregon College of Art and Craft in Portland Oregon majoring in Fiber Arts. Zoë has earned a reputation at NUMU as a talented and encouraging instructor in the multi-dimensional art of indigo dyeing. Pre-registration is required for this class, which is offered every third Sunday of each month. This class is suitable for beginners as well as more advanced participants.
