Description

Join us for the ninth annual TAOLB at Mills College Open Studios Event on Saturday 2/21 and Sunday 2/22, from 11am to 5pm.

The Open Studios Art Fair features Bay Area artists of African descent. Saturday 2/21 also features a zine workshop with Bay Area writer and zine activist Shareena Clark, from 12pm to 2pm.

This exciting group art exhibition provides a unique opportunity for attendees to meet the artists and talk with them about their work. The show includes sculptors, painters, mixed media artists, photographers, zine makers, illustrators, and doll makers. This year’s participants include: Tai Belize, Howard Mackey, Ajuan Mance, Karen Oyekanmi, Lyn Rockwell, Atiba Sylvia Thomas, Valerie Troutt, Oakland-based zine maker AJ (creator of Nuthin Good Ever Happens at 4am), and others.
