The Art Docents of Los Gatos aim to educate children about the important of the arts, providing them another way to communicate their ideas and comprehend their world. Using art to linkto other cultures, other times, and other neighborhoods, the Art Docents attempt to analyze and interpret the way fine art fosters higher level thinking skills that help children understand and evaluate the myriad visual images that surround them. By exposing them to art, children are given the ability to become flexible, innovative and creative individuals.
