The month-long April in Santa Cruz Contemporary Music Festival continues with another concert, hosted by the UCSC Music Department. This next performance will a performance of the 18-minute percussion piece "Gangsa" for four gongs and computer manipulation, written by visiting composer, Mills College Professor Chris Brown. Other composers whose works will be featured in this program include David Cope, Larry Polansky, and David Mahler. In addition, the UCSC Contemporary Music Ensemble and UCSC Percussion Ensemble will also perform works to be announced. As usual, this concert is free and open to the public.
