Description
“Aperture” is a contemporary meets street dance, electronics meets strings, father/daughter collaboration. Focusing on a Hispanic American experience, this oral history examines causes and impacts of breaking from tradition.The sound score is an original collage of three elements, including bites of conversation between artist and father, and music from the 50’s and 60’s (Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash). These elements intertwine with strings and electronics - arranged by long-time collaborator: Ken Christianson. Set and costumes reference the family home and the landscape of the Southwest.
