Description

Antwon (http://antwon.bandcamp.com/)

End Of Earth is the latest album from burgeoning West Coast artist Antwon, who recently dropped one of the year's raddest videos in "Living Every Dream." That song, which was produced by Pictureplane, is one of nine new tunes from the San Jose, Calif.-based rapper. At times, it's moody and kind of dark while at others it's straight-up danceable. And at its core, it is wholly original and engaging as Antwon weaves thoughtful rhymes across End Of Earth. - Complex Magazine

Cities Aviv (http://citiesaviv.bandcamp.com/)

Memphis’s Cities Aviv creates dense, style-sampling rap music and his new song, “Wet Dream,” is another example of his experimentation with unconventional production, beats teeming with texture as Cities flaunts a hypnotizing flow pattern. It certainly can fall under the veil of “cloud rap,” but it’s a little edgier and sharper on the edges. - Stereogum

Friendzone (http://soundcloud.com/friendzone)

Main Attrakionz collaborators Friendzone, whom CMG’s Clay Purdom has called “the most interesting musicians on the planet right now.” They’re almost literally the brightest: their music is full of light and empty spaces in which it can shine and shimmer; a prism to reflect sounds carefully shaped, finely nuanced, and light as vapor. - Coke Machine Glow

Chippy Nonstop (http://soundcloud.com/chippynonstop)

Man, you know what Chippy Nonstop doesn’t sound like on this record? A lot of things. You know what Chippy does sound like though? Nobody else. Chippy is in her own lane, and while folks have been quick to compare her to other young female rappers, I think #GlobalSkoolOfTwerk shows her workin a styl all her own. Whatever your opinion on Chippy’s choice of content you can’t deny that she owns this shit. - Mishka

Spaceghost (http://space-ghost.bandcamp.com/)

Space Ghost’s Wallflower EP is promising because of what it represents: a crossroads between LA’s weeded-out sub-bass scene and Boards of Canada’s carefully composed sterile warmth, colliding in the brain of a dude in Oakland. - The Fader
