Description

Ann Schein has had a long and superlative career, though this is better known in classical music circles than the public at large. It's hard to imagine a classical pianist nowadays achieving the wider fame those in the past century did, like Schein's teacher Arthur Rubenstein. Nevertheless, during her 50-plus year career she's played for the Kennedys at the White House, debuted at Carnegie Hall and played with orchestras around the world--from LA to New York to London and places in between. Known for her interpretations of Chopin (like Rubenstein), she is often noted for her consummate technical skills, as well as her ability to communicate the depth and complexity of a piece without flashiness.
