Haunting, heady, and evocative, Angel Heart is a live music storybook with text by bestselling children's fantasy writer Cornelia Funke and music by award-winning composer Luna Pearl Woolf. Angel Heart follows the story of a young girl whose heart has broken into a thousand pieces. She meets a guardian angel, who, during their travels in the night, enlists the help of spirits of the East, North, West, and South on his quest to mend her heart. Woolf's original score is interwoven with familiar songs performed by vocal soloists and children's choir, with Matt Haimovitz & Uccello, an all-cello ensemble.
