Bay Area Cabaret kicks off its 2012-2013 season with Supremes legend Mary Wilson and her solo show, “An Intimate Evening With Mary Wilson.” Best known as a founding member of the famous Motown trio, Ms. Wilson continued on to launch her solo career in 1977. With two solo albums, a best-selling autobiography, multiple Lifetime Achievement Awards, starring roles in theatre productions across the country, and concert tours around the globe, Ms. Wilson has proven that she truly is an entertainment icon. Her appearance at Adelaide, Australia’s cabaret festival this summer elicited rave reviews, as did her run at Feinstein’s at the Regency. Celebrating both Bay Area Cabaret’s opening night and Ms. Wilson’s return to The Venetian Room after more than two decades, “An Intimate Evening with Mary Wilson” will feature familiar ballads including Smile, Fields of Gold and Tears in Heaven, as well as a few thrilling additions.More Info
