An evening with the legendary Sam Cutler

He was the tour manager for the Rolling Stones from Hyde Park to Altamont. After that experience, he continued that role with the Grateful Dead, which evolved into a co-management position, guiding the band through some pivotal tours with Festival Express, Summer Jam at Watkins Glen and their highly successful Europe 1972 tour. Somewhere in the course of his career, he also worked with Pink Floyd, the Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton, the New Riders of the Purple Sage, and probably some other bands you've heard of. His name is Sam Cutler, and he's got a story to tell.

Autographed copies of his famous book You Can't Always get What You Want: My life with the Rolling Stones, the Grateful Dead and other wonderful Reprobates will be available the night of the show.

Join us as Sam shares his stories at Studio Bongiorno on Friday, July 31, joined by writer Joel Selvin the San Francisco Chronicles Music man from 1972-2009, who has seen and written about almost every aspect of the rock and roll scene. From the New York Times Best Sellers list to his upcoming definitive book on Altamont (due out next year). Joel will utilize some interrogation skills to uncover more colorful tidbits from Sam's expansive life. Witness these two legends share and go behind the scenes into some of the biggest events in Rock and Rock history and find out what really went down at Altamont.

Friday, July 31st doors open at 7pm. Beverages will be available. This will be an outdoor event, dress accordingly.
