Join us at the Bay Theater for a night of wipeouts, waves and wetsuits! On Thursday, May 24, Aquarium of the Bay will be hosting An Evening of Surfing Films, as part of the America’s Cup Healthy Ocean Project Film and Lecture Series.Four talented filmmakers will share their visions on the big screen. Hosting this surfing event is Maverick’s surfing legend Grant Washburn, whose name is synonymous with big-wave surfing as an ocean enthusiast, documentarian and surfer extraordinaire. Before the films, guests can mingle with local Maverick’s surfer and enjoy a reception complete with wine and delicious appetizers from Seafood Watch partner Fog Harbor Fish House. A question and answer session with filmmakers and surfers will follow the screening.
