Emerging jazz vocalist Amy Dabalos is a gifted artist noted for her exceptional interpretation of song. For the past several years Amy has performed regularly in Southern California with her own jazz combo. Her style and approach to jazz singing is greatly influenced by jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, and Nancy Wilson, as well as exceptional modern jazz artists Gretchen Parlato and Esperanza Spalding.Recently back in her hometown of San Jose, Amy recorded and released her first EP, Some Other Time, and was a featured performer at City Lights Theater and local music festival, Left Coast Live. Equally comfortable on the operatic stage, Amy will be appearing this season with Opera San Jose.
