Amanda’s Feel Good Fresh Food Restaurant in downtown Berkeley celebrates its second anniversary on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Highlights of the celebration will include a complimentary beverage tasting, live music, raffle prizes, and food and drink specials. Assemblyperson Nancy Skinner of California’s 14th District will speak about the occasion beginning at 5:30 pm.

From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Amanda’s will offer various anniversary specials including a naturally-raised beef (or veggie) burger and an organic beer for $5.00; a salad and glass of wine for $6.00; and a kids combo with a burger, apple sticks, small freshly-made soda, and crayons for $5.00.

Over the last two years Amanda’s has become known for fresh, naturally delicious food that is easy on the schedule, wallet, and conscience. Amanda’s has received considerable acclaim and awards from customers and critics alike. Assemblyperson Skinner recently recognized Amanda’s as Small Business of the Year for California’s 14th District.

Founder Amanda West launched her namesake quick-service concept for customers who want a convenient, tasty, nutritious meal. The menu includes naturally-raised beef burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, 100% vegan veggie burgers, freshly-made salads, baked fries, raw organic apple sticks with a honey yogurt dipping sauce, cookies, freshly-made sodas (sweetened with organic agave nectar), organic milks, sustainable and local beer and wine, and organic/fair-trade coffee and tea.

Amanda’s Feel Good Fresh Food Restaurant is located at 2122 Shattuck Avenue, near Center, across from the BART station in downtown Berkeley.
