DR. LONNIE SMITH (Hammond B3)
Critically acclaimed keyboardist Dr. Lonnie Smith, dominant talent and pace-setting master of the Hammond B3 organ, is an internationally recognized pianist at the forefront of the jazz scene. A pioneer and originator of the soul-jazz and acid-jazz genres, he's a living legend with a solo career that has produced over 30 albums. From his work with George Benson in the mid-1960s to the present day performances, Dr. Lonnie Smith remains an inspired master of soul-jazz.
STANTON MOORE (Drums)
New Orleans native and resident Stanton Moore is the most exciting drummer of the past thirty years, and very much a product of the Big Easy’s thriving music scene. In the early ‘90s, Moore helped form the acclaimed “steam-roller” funk band, Galactic. The band has released six albums including their first record, Coolin’ Off, and continues to amass a worldwide audience via recording and touring globally.
DONALD HARRISON (Sax)
Smokin’ post bop alto saxophonist Donald Harrison is one of the most important musicians of the new millennium. His Nouveau Swing style merges acoustic swing with modern R&B, second-line, hip-hop and reggae rhythms. His album The Power of Cool is considered a smooth jazz classic. Donald’s groundbreaking recording Indian Blues captures the essence of Mardi Gras Indian culture within a jazz context.
WILL BERNARD (Guitar)
A jazz guitarist/composer acclaimed for his imaginative, genre-busting music, Will Bernard’s signature style is recognized by the music press, jazz fans and fellow musicians alike. Bernard’s enormous contribution in progressive music styles and innovative fusion is grounded in his mastery of seemingly endless genres, types, styles and forms.
