This popular series brings together the award-winning Alexander String Quartet and music historian Robert Greenberg.

Mozart in Vienna: Season Two - Mozart Transcendent, illuminates the life and work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart during his residence in Vienna. In the ten years that followed his arrival, until his death in 1791, Mozart composed more masterworks in more genres than any other composer before or since.

Mozart's early death was a tragedy and while we cannot know where Mozart's muse might have taken him had he lived a longer life, we do know that the late quartets and quintets in this series stand as preeminent examples of his mature-and transcendent-musical voice.
