Description
Albany FilmFest for Kids Rhythmix Cultural Works and Albany FilmFest team up once again. This time were presenting a special preview of the funny, quirky, and highly original pieces made by kids, including some from this year's 5th Annual Albany FilmFest, screening in Albany on Sunday, March 29th. The young filmmakers who submit their films to our festival are awesome, says festival organizer Naomi Sigal. They always have fresh ideas and new approaches that take us by surprise. Hopefully, this show will inspire some kids to make their own films and maybe even enter Albany FilmFest next year! This one-hour compilation of family-friendly short films and animations includes Albany FilmFest selections, audience favorites, and award winners from 2011-2015. Stories run the gamut an unusual pet gets loose on the street, pieces of paper turn into fantasy animals, a first date is threatened by allegiance to competing superheroes, a young filmmaker uses Legos to tell the story of how he was inspired to make films . . . Many of these imaginative films were created and directed by young filmmakers aged six to twelve.
The 5th Annual Albany FilmFest, a national juried festival of short (and really short) films, is coming back to Albany on Sunday, March 29th. We will be raffling off an all-day, all-shows pass at Rhythmix for the 5th Annual FilmFest to a lucky filmgoer!
