Featured in over 100 films, many of them cult classic pictures such as Speed, Colors, The Day After Tomorrow, Ruby’s Bucket of Blood, Up Close and Personal, Frankie and Johnny, and South Central, Glenn Plummer has in the past two decades been featured in films that have crossed action, drama, romantic comedy, and thriller genres. Described as a raw and passionate character actor, Mr. Plummer credits much of his ability to play diverse roles by growing up in the cultural and political community of the Bay Area.

This March 1st-7th, Glenn Plummer returns to the Bay Area from Hollywood to workshop with emerging and aspiring local actors and actresses who are eager to learn about the inner workings of the industry, as well as how to ignite their craft with authentic voice. In a rare, week long appearance in Oakland at the Black Dot Café gallery, actor Glenn Plummer will facilitate an intimate series of workshops teaching his own method called Acting on the Word, which involves scene study, improv, Shakespeare, and cold readings.

Weekend workshop is March 6th-7th. Evening workshop is March 1st-4th.
Sliding scale fees are $175-$225.
Proceeds from this series will benefit West Oakland non-profit, Black Dot Artists, Inc. whom hosted a fundraising event with actor Don Cheadle in Oakland, CA in 2007.
