Description
We are thrilled to bring you a series of online training courses led by Joshua Waterstone!Students will need access to the internet and a hands-free device (tablet, computer, laptop) with a camera and microphone for all courses.
Stage Combat Basics
This course is open to high school students as well.
Wednesdays, April 22 to May 27
(6-week course)
6:00 to 7:30 pm
Tuition: $170
This class will cover basic techniques needed to create a safe and effective fight for the stage. Students learn the basic aspects of unarmed stage combat, falling, knaps, punches, kicks, etc. Particular attention will be paid to the safeties required to perform fights as well as how to connect stage combat techniques to text, character and intention. We will also study Single Sword basics, how to make your own practice sword with minimal materials, fighting by the numbers, parries, cuts and thrusts and the anatomy of the sword. An online class that gets you up and on your feet practicing stage combat!
