San Francisco-based artist Leila Singleton is the featured exhibitor at Berkeley restaurant Gecko Gecko Thai-California Eatery (geckogeckothai.com) during the month of April. Singleton’s artwork is photographic, but with a twist: much of her work could be mistaken for abstract paintings.Singleton, who works in the medium of digital photography, has created a vivid collection that transforms run-of-the-mill sights and objects into abstract visions. Fourteen of her prints are on display at Gecko Gecko, 2101 Milvia Street, Berkeley, CA, through April 30, 2010. The restaurant is open 11:30a-3p and 4:30p-9p daily. People love Gecko Gecko on Yelp!
