The abstract nine is a group of Bay Area painters who meet to walk the ambit of Acrylic painting. We critique and exchange, explore form and design, and manipulate processes and materials. Blending craft and feeling, we explore the collective experiences of ourselves and our times. We don't just paint, we think and innovate!

The exhibit includes works of 9 studio artists compelled to create tactile, textured art. Among them are Bob Armstrong, Ila Coombs, Mary Delave, Michele DiGregorio, Joan Hartwell, Lynda Newell, Alice Orth, Peri Penninger, and Alana Unger. The artists' works stretch to explore abstract figurative, to purely abstract. Artists will be available to discuss their work.
