Description

"To me, there is something so much more fun about fantasy. There is a charm to it that doesn’t exist around us. I want to capture and alter this charm and use it for my own. My illustrations are the worlds I would rather be living in.”

Weston Wiener is an illustrator, designer, musician, and filmmaker. He grew up on a mountain in Park City, Utah where he made wooden swords in his father's wood shop to hunt goblins and dinosaurs in the forest. In second grade he started writing and illustrating tales about his stuffed animals with his brother, Hans.

In sixth grade, he received a video camera. The next week, he made a 30 minute animated film of the 100 Years War with Playmobil knights for his history class. Since then, he has made over 30 short films.

In 2009 he enrolled into California College of the Arts in San Francisco. He is currently in his senior year and is working on many different projects, including, "Blush," a short film premiering at CCA this fall; "Witchtrackers,” a feature-length film in pre-production; "Healthy Beats," a rap alter-ego project; and "Zabazuzu," a children’s book about a mischievous witch who flies about in a magic teacup.
