About

Aaron Jae is a San Francisco based breaks dj who has been tearing all across the US of A dropping his brand of hard-hitting, dirty, nasty breaks. He and his partner, dj Bam, founded Evil Breaks in the beginning of 2004 in an attempt to bring breaks to the underground scene. Evil Breaks has since expanded and is now doing regular events both at clubs, and in the underground scene, and have thrown events or hosted rooms at every major club in San Francisco. They've brought out amazing domestic talent like Uberzone LIVE, Trona, Odeed & Wish , Carbon Community LIVE, LoBudg aka Bil Bless(SOTEG) & Carbon Community in their debut performance together + many more, J-Break, Reid Speed, Jackal & Hyde Live - 1st SF show, Simply Jeff, as well as a couple of WICKED international producers; the Breakfastaz, Deep Impact 1st West Coast show, Stone Lions 1st West Coast show, General Midi, Roxiller (Chris Carter & JHz) in their first and only U.S. performance together, Chris Carter, Atomic Hooligan, Lawgiverz, Aquasky, Fine Cut Bodies, Circuit Breaker - 1st SF show, the Autobots - 1st West coast performance, Deekline with MC Ivory, High Eight - 1st West Coast show, Future Funk Squad, Kid Kenobi w/MC Shureshock (Australia's #1 dj), Myagi, Control Z, Pendulum, Ed209, with many more amazing shows in the works.

In the past year Aaron Jae has played at over 100 events all over the U.S. in cities including; Denver, Seattle, Raleigh-N.C., Portland, Reno, Dallas, L.A., Miami, Hilo, Kona, Honolulu, and of course all around the Bay Area. His popularity as a local dj is almost unsurpassed as he very regularly plays 2, 3, 4 shows a weekend. He recently(Feb. '06) picked up a residency with Thump Funk on XM Satellite Radio with a subscriber list of over 80 million nationwide, has played at WMC 2006 (Winter Music Conference), WMC 2007 (Future Sound of Breaks 5, Breaks FM party, Essential Breaks, and Breakfest 4) Burning Man 2006 with the Space Cowboys, and was instrumental in putting together the breakbeat float and what was the largest breaks after-party for both Love Parade SF 2005 and LoveFest 2006. He and his mixes have also been featured on a ton of radio and internet stations including: XM Radio, Nuskoolbreaks.co.uk, BijouBreaks.com, Nubreaks.com, BreaksFM(multiple shows), DI.FM, Bassline FM KSJS(San Jose), KZSU(Stanford), PulseRadio.net, UZIC (Switzerland), BR Radio KCRH(Hayward), and KUCI (Irvine), just to name a few.

He has opened for some of the biggest names in electronic music (Evil Nine, Grandmaster Flash, 2 Bad Mice, Rogue Element, Elite Force, Lee Coombs, Bassbin Twins, Dylan Rhymes, 30hz, Baobinga, Omar Santana, etc...along with a majority of the talent Evil Breaks has brought out) and he has played at shows along side many more superstars of the industry (Rennie Pilgrem, Stanton Warriors, Hyper, AK1200, Boy George, Orbital, John B, Micro, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, dj Fresh, Kaos, Matt Darey, D:Fuse, George Acosta, Josh the Funky 1, Bryan Cox, Terry Mullan, etc...)
