Gallery Talk with Nomi Talisman, Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2:00pm
Nomi Talisman is the first artist invited to create a project for META/DATA, a new series of web-based, digital art projects with the objective of telling the story of the Magnes and its collections. Talisman’s project will provide visitors to the Magnes website with a nonlinear navigational web interface that will artistically interpret the Museum’s collection.
MEMORY LAB
Ongoing, beginning September 28, 2008
Memory Lab is an interactive installation that allows the visitor to create digital family albums and exhibitions based on their own documents, photographs, and memories. MemoryMiner® software makes digital story-telling easy and fun, and it facilitates the discovery of the threads connecting people’s lives across time and place.
