Multi-Cultural Dance Conference, free and open to the public, as well as any student, next Friday and Saturday, May 10th and 11th- free dance workshops and a showcase performance Saturday from 7-9PM! Workshops will include facilitation from Watsonville's Fuego Latino Salsa Rueda Troupe, African Dance teacher and drummer Mandjou and Salif Kone, Samba instructor Marsea Marquis, Bay Area Polynesian troupe Siva Polynesia, and UCSC Student Organizations like Tangroupe, Sabrosura, the Ballroom Dance Troupe, Classical Indian Dance, Rainbow Theater's Rainbotz, and so much more! The purpose of this event is to showcase the diversity of dance that exists in UCSC, and the larger Santa Cruz county, and provide students and community members access to an event that welcomes all lovers of dance to come together, celebrate their uniqueness, take free dance classes, and watch an awesome show.
