Description

Join local author and poet Charlotte Muse as she reads poetry from her newly published book, Violin. The book is a series of poems that explore the history of the violin, including the lives of Italian violin makers Gasparo da Salo and Antonio Stradivari, the instrument’s range and expressiveness and how the violin changed music forever. Local award-winning artist Joyce Savre, who rendered the art work for Muse’s book, will discuss how she created paintings that reveal the depth and mystery of the violin. Both paintings and poems flow together and convey a feeling of music. This will be an enchanting afternoon not to be missed.
