A Family Music-Making Workshop with Marcus Shelby

Families (mother, father, sister, brother, grandparent, uncle, aunt, caretaker) are invited to an afternoon of music-making through a fun exploration of the blues as a foundation of American music. Local favorite, bassist Marcus Shelby will lead interactive improvisational games, rhythm explorations, ring shouts, poetry recitals, work songs, and more. Appropriate for all ages and skill levels, participants are welcome to bring their own instruments or, just come as is! Refreshments will be provided.
