Description

The Agricultural History Project is hosting the Annual Easter On The Farm to celebrate Easter and the beginning of Spring on Saturday, March 30 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, Highway 152 outside Watsonville. This event is FREE! Donations appreciated. Bring your whole neighborhood of children to participate!

“We’re looking forward to the many egg hunts, the crafts and games that the children love every year, the hayrides everyone enjoys, and more activities we’re adding this year!” said Lynne Grossi, co-organizer along with Nancy Perryman for the event this year.

Egg Hunts will be every ½ hour in four separate age groups: from 3 and under up to 12 years old. Everyone who participates will have a special Easter treat.

Activities for children and adults include: hat and basket making, face-painting, hayrides, games with stilts and hoops, chalk drawing, and others! We’re also gathering stories this year from all ages on your experiences and thoughts about farming.

“This is one of our special events of the year. Everyone always has fun and we love to help all the children have a great time,” said John Kegebein, CEO of the Agricultural History Project.

The Agricultural History Project revitalizes our connection with farms and ranches by creating fun events for families, stimulating discussions on current issues, and thoughtful displays of our history with the land. Look for additional annual events such as Day On The Farm on Saturday May 18 and Yesterday’s Farm during the Santa Cruz County Fair in September.
