This week, NightLife is all dolled up for Fashion Week: SF Edition. In African Hall, explore fashion’s past, present and future with vintage dresses and accessories of the 30s-60s presented by Mystery Mister; the winning retro-inspired designs from Modcloth’s Make the Cut contest; modern style presented by h.NAOTO; and futuristic eTextiles which weave technology into wearable art.See the best in local, sustainable fashion during a fashion show featuring Camelia Skikos, gr.dano, Colleen Quen Couture, Nice Collective, Gelareh Designs, hosted by local independent designer showcase Wonderland SF. Make your own Haute Couture-inspired crafts with Haute Gloo, the DIY genius behind the weekly craft table at the Stud’s “Some Thing.” Music by Honey Soundsystem DJs in the coral reef and east pavilion. Learn how ornamentation and fashion have been a key part of human history from Academy anthropologists Zeray Alemsegred and Russell Hartman.
