The 80's party
Have you been to the Cat Club?
Did you know that we do a weekly 80's party with dancing and
all kinds of pretty videos in two rooms starting at 9pm, and
we do it every Thursday night? It's quite splendiferous, please do
come and look, stay for a while, have a couple of drinks maybe and dance a lot.
You'll typically see someone wearing their Sunglasses at night, others all dressed up in bright neon 80's colors and leg warmers and everyone just generally being awesome and outrageous at the same time. We think it's the combination of relaxing, drinking and dancing, sounds good, right??!!?? Does anyone want a Rubix Cube demonstration?
4 DJ's, 2 dance-floors and bars, a Video reel for visual stimulation in the front
all night, 2 for 1 well drinks before 10pm, the Club opens at 9pm, it's free to get in until 9:30pm, and then it's $6 all night.
DJ's Damon & Steve play the rock, pop and 1 hit wonders
all night in the front room.
DJ's Dangerous Dan & Low Life(NWC) spin
the classic underground dark 80's
mix in back on two huge video screens for
your video viewing pleasure,
it's pretty amazing, check it out.
Thursday May 9th
Happy Birthday Dave Gahan
Join us for Synthpop Thursday
Dave Gahan, yeah he's the singer for Depeche Mode, you know that, right?!!? OK, then we're gonna play a little more of the band Dave is in, but we're not gonna go all out and have a full on Depeche Mode tribute night until later in the year when
the band comes around on tour, ok?
DJ's Ryan & Dangerous Dan in the back
play Synthpop and the 80's underground sound
with Videos a lot of the time, these are the authentic videos,
do come and enjoy dancing and looking at the videos, you'll have a blast! DJ's Damon & Steve play the rock, pop and 1 hit wonders
all night in the front room.
Thursday May 16
Video killed the Radio Star!
Dance to all your favorite videos from the 80's new wave era in two rooms! DJ's Damon & Special Guest DJ Porter (Club Vogue) in the front play all your favorite Rock, Pop and 1 hit wonders with even more videos courtesy of DJ Porter. It's gonna be the best thing ever!! Be on the lookout for the Killer collection of Videos by DJ Dangerous Dan in the backroom all night long, everything from his own custom made videos(like the long version of the Q Lazzarus song, 'Goodbye Horses' to newer mixes of 80's songs like 'World in my eyes' by Depeche Mode.
Thursday May 23
You are invited to Richard Blade's Birthday party!
Kick off Memorial Day weekend the right way
as the Cat Club plays host to and
helps to celebrate the birthday of
DJ Richard Blade from Sirius XM "1st Wave" Ch. 33.
Richard is very well known and loved, all our friends from
So Cal have nothing but the fondest memories of listening to Richard on KROQ as he helped to break many 80's New Wave acts and watching him on his TV show 'MV3' which later became 'Video One'. Richard is much sought after to play Birthday parties and does so quite often, how cool is it that in the best kind of 80's coincidence, we get to host his Birthday party?? This party is going to be sublime, do not miss it!! And just to let you know, we're only excusing the absence of his big fan Dina Robinson as she is going to see Depeche Mode in London.
Thursday May 30
80's Goth nite.
Happy Birthday Siouxsie Sioux!
In observance of Siouxsie's birthday on May 27,
we're gonna play some of Her music and other
Goth Rock favorites. Siouxsie was without question a
trailblazer in the early Punk scene, first as a member of the 'bromley contingent' following the Sex Pistols around and infamously on the Bill Grundy show, to then concentrating her efforts on
her band the Banshees, where she really made
a lasting impression with her music and fashion sense
much of which is still displayed today in alternative youth
culture by Black clothes, Big hair and accentuated eye makeup.
Ask us how to host your Birthday party or
any other kinda party you wanna
have at the Club, go ahead and
contact Randy Maupin at: randy@[email protected]
also for party area reservation or bottle service.
This is San Francisco's best party every Thursday night!
