"Our 44th Annual Big Book Sale will take place this year on September 25—28, 2008 with a member preview on Wednesday, September 24 from 4-8pm.Join us at the Festival Pavilion in the Fort Mason Center for the largest book sale this side of the Mississippi for a 5-day extravaganza featuring over 200,000 books.
Admission is free to the general public Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All books remaining on Sunday will be priced at $1 or less!
Proceeds from the Big Book Sale are donated to the San Francisco Public Library to fund education programs that promote literacy for children, teens and adults." -www.friendsandfoundation.org
