Description

Children’s Easter from 10 to noon. Main event from noon to 4pm @ Golden Gate Park’s Hellman Hollow, formerly known as Speedway Meadow. This could well be the party of the year with attendees encouraged to create their own Wizard of Oz costumes. The day will feature some of the old and some things new. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt and other fun activities for the kids. In the afternoon, we will have our Easter Bonnet and Hunky Jesus Contests, with all of its antics, and in addition, we will be having a new contest called Foxy Mary, guaranteed to stir up the hen house.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. is a 21st Century Order of queer nuns. Since their first appearance in San Francisco on Easter Sunday, 1979, the Sisters have been accused of "Ruining It For Everyone" with their habitual injection of gaiety into serious affairs including human rights, political activism and religious intolerance. The Sisters consider it their mission to "ruin" all detrimental conditions including complacency, guilt and the inability to laugh at one's self.
