The 32nd annual Mill Valley Wine & Gourmet is known as one of Northern California’s premier wine, beer and gourmet food events of the season and fills up quickly. Each year thousands of food and wine aficionados from around the Bay Area attend the Mill Valley Wine & Gourmet to enjoy this ultimate sensory experience that’s set in one of the County’s most beautiful towns. Vintners from Napa, Sonoma, Alexander Valley and Mendocino, as well as throughout the Pacific Northwest participate each year. Austria’s finest Grüner Veltliners, a very popular food-friendly white grape varietal, will be poured. A cold refreshing selection of hand-crafted beers and cider will help cool things off.New and returning vintners will be sampling some great wines again. Wineries making a debut this year include Alta Colina with syrahs and syrah blends, and several new “young turks” like Field Recordings, Desperada, Herman Story, and Folkway. Other first time vintners this year to keep an eye out for are Banshee Wines, Cazadero Winery with all natural wines, Duckhorn Wine, Enkidu, Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery, Grey Stack Cellars for great sauvignon blancs, Kynsi Vineyards pinot noir, Odisea Wine Company’s Rhone varietals, Pech Merle Winery, and Rock Wren syrahs. Always a crowd favorite are Carica, Far Niente, Honig Vineyard, Husch, Robert Keenan Wines, Lewelling Vineyard cabernets, Nickel & Nickel chardonnays, Rombauer chardonnays, Silver Oak, Storrs chardonnays Truchard, Wrath Wines chardonnay, and many more great selections. Over 60 wineries will be represented.
Cold, hand-crafted specialty beers include 3rd Street Aleworks, Anderson Valley Brewing, Lagunitas Brewing, Mill Valley Beer Works, Moylans Brewing Company, Northcoast Brewery, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and Trumer Brauerei.
Mill Valley restaurants participating this year are Balboa Café, Bungalow 44, El Paseo House of Chops, Mill Valley Beerworks, La Ginestra, Piazza D'Angelo, Shoreline Coffee Shop, Small Shed Flatbreads, Prabh Indian Kitchen and Tony Tutto Pizza.
Delicious treats to compliment the day will include first timers CC Made caramels, Cobee Pesto premium pesto sauce, Cremeux Ex Machina gelato, Della Terra olive oils and vinegars, Genuto Gelato non-dairy gelato, Haigs hummus and dolmas, Harmless Harvest coconut water, Kettle Krakkers, Mama Baretta gluten free breads and cookies, Mamies Pies take ‘n bake apple pies, Ocho Bars, Redwood Hill Farms goat milk cheeses, Spring Hill cheeses, Weavers coffee, and many returning food producers including Acme bread, the One Bar, McEvoy Ranch, and Orthodox Chews.
Proceeds benefit the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce’s local economic development programs. The Mill Valley Chamber is a 501(c)6 nonprofit membership organization.
Ticket prices are $40 Advance, $50 at the door. Groups of 6 or more are $35 per person.
