Great Urban Race

Great Urban Race is a wild urban adventure! Teams of two—four solve twelve clues and participate in exciting mental and physical challenges while discovering the city in a fresh way.

Included with each participant registration is: a Great Urban Race t-shirt, clue sheet, race bib and post-race refreshments (water, granola bars and bananas). The top 25 qualifying teams will also receive a medal and an invitation to our National Championship race! New this year for our participants over 21 is a complimentary beer awarded after the race’s completion. Running the Great Urban Race isn’t easy; celebrate your accomplishment with a cold brew after the race!

Following the race, we will hold an awards ceremony and prize giveaway.

Not familiar with your city? No problem! You don’t have to be a citywide genius to compete in Great Urban Race! In the past, a number of our top qualifying teams competed in cities they didn’t live in.

Although Great Urban Race is an active adventure, you don’t have to be in tip-top shape to participate. Many teams simply sign up for the fun and excitement of completing clues and challenges.

$50 per person until 11:59pm* on Monday, July 16, 2012
$60 per person until 11:59pm* on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012.
Race Day registration will be available for $70 per person on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012.
Online registration closes at 5pm local time on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012

Disaster Policy

In the event of a Disaster including hurricanes, tornadoes, terrorism, etc. the race director and The Great Urban Race staff will decide whether or not to cancel the event based on the safety of participants and staff.
