Dine America/Dine Louisiana. Dec. 1
The BP oil spill is over and it’s safe to eat seafood from the Gulf of Mexico. That’s the message chefs across America are trying to drive home at the “Dine America/Dine Louisiana” event Dec. 1. More than 150 participating chefs and restaurateurs will be serving gulf seafood to diners, friends and family. Local participants include Palo Alto’s Mayfield Bakery and Café and Woodside’s Village Pub.

Unwined Host Duckhorn Vineyards Wine tasting. Dec. 1
Meet Duckhorn Winery’s Tom Chamian at San Jose’s Unwined and sample the latest releases from this benchmark Napa winery including the cabernet sauvignon, merlot, Paraduxx, Goldeneye pinot noir, and the Decoy Bordeaux blend. Unwined was named “best wine bar” and “best wine list” by Metro readers. 

Wine and chocolate pairing at Enoteca La Storia. Dec. 4
The combination of wine and chocolate might be the best thing since wine met cheese. Come enjoy the delectable pairings of ports and local Santa Cruz chocolates by Richard Donnelly Chocolates at Los Gatos’ Enoteca La Storia. Donnelly studied with master chocolatiers in Paris and Brussels before returning to the United States to create his own line of chocolates in Santa Cruz.

Food and Wine with the Summit Wineries. Dec. 4-5
Join the festivities in the Santa Cruz Mountains before the rush of the holidays by taking in the crisp air and sampling food and wine from summit wineries—Burrell School Winery, Regale Winery, Silver Mountain Winery. Pick up a Christmas tree while you’re at it.
