"2 in 1" - Collaborative works by Pichai and Misho.This is an opportunity to preview some unique art before it heads to the Baan Tuek Art Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand opening February 12th.
The concept of "2 in 1" reflects the partnership of Pichai and Misho. After their initial meeting in 2013, both artist realized that they have similar views of the world. While discussing the approach for their collaboration, it became evident that they did not want just to have a juxtaposition of two creators work simply put together. Their focus was to “fuse” their 2 different influences and background into one body of work.
Each piece of work had to stand on its own. All the photographs and paintings in this exhibition were original works created individually and then “recreated” by incorporating the 2 photos or paintings -- to become 1. Some of the artists individual pieces will also be on exhibit. Hilla Hueber's studio will also be open.
