10th Anniversary Season Kickoff Party with Sinister Dexter

The Tabard Theatre Company will launch its
10th Anniversary Season with a lively celebration for subscribers and the public on Saturday,
September 25, from 7 to 10 pm at Theatre on San Pedro Square.
The evening will feature a high-energy performance by the ten-piece horn band
Sinister Dexter, featuring singer Rebecca Lipon. The party is free to all current Tabard
season subscribers, who may bring guests for just $10 each. The public is encouraged to
sign up now for the season and come to the party for free; admission otherwise is just $15
per person. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar are available to everyone.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating our tenth season, which opens October eighth.
We want to share the excitement with a party for our loyal subscribers and their friends as
well as anyone interested in having a fabulously fun time,” said Tabard’s founder and
executive director, Cathy Spielberger Cassetta. “Anyone new to Tabard who buys a ticket
for the festivities will understand immediately what we’re all about—providing theatre
experiences that are fun and engaging at a fantastic downtown venue. Our first production
this season is Stompin’ at the Savoy, a tribute to the Big Band era. What better way
to get the good times rolling than with an all-out celebration with plenty of great music.”
Sinister Dexter has brought the unique sound of the great funk horn bands to clubs
throughout the region. With a hot five-piece horn section and a tight rhythm section, their
spirited show keeps on moving all evening long with covers of standards and contemporary
classics. Their amazing vocalist, Rebecca Lipon, is already well known to Tabard
audiences following her knockout performances as Peggy in Tabard’s productions of The
Taffetas and A Taffeta Christmas.
