Description
ZSALON Featuring Victoria Scott and Scott KildallPlease join us as we introduce a spectacular Green Prix art duo. San Francisco-based artists Scott Kildall and Victoria Scott started their collaboration in 2006 in the Art and Technology graduate program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Together they create installations, objects, prints and relational performances that physically materialize the psychological spaces of online social networks and simulated worlds.
During the Out of the Garage workshops in the first couple of weeks in September Kildall and Scott will create a 13-foot high Trojan Horse otherwise known as the Gift Horse. Kildall and Scott created Gift Horse to celebrate the viral nature of art and ideas. On Saturday, September 18, 2010 during the 01SJ Green Prix the Gift Horse will be pushed through the streets of San Jose by costumed Greek Warriors and brought to the San Jose Museum of Art for the reception. In a boisterous public ceremony, hundreds of colorful paper viruses will be released into the museum from the belly of the horse.
If you can’t join us in-person: this ZSalon will be broadcast on UStream.(ustream.tv/channel/zsalon)
ZSalons take place the 4th Wednesday of every month and are always free.
