Description
Program includes Franc: Sonata for Violin.Wei is violinist for Symphony Silicon Valley. She has performed widely in the U.S., Japan and China and has appeared as soloist with major orchestras, such as the Shanghai Symphony, Shanghai Radio Philharmonic, Shanghai Opera Symphony and the San Francisco Conservatory Orchestra, among others. A top prize winner of several national violin and chamber music competitions, Wei was invited by Isaac Stern to participate in the Third Miyazaki International Music Festival in Japan, where they played chamber music together. She has also been teaching at the Yandangshan Inernational Music Festival in China since 1998. From 1998 to 2004, Wei was a violin professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
