Description

On Friday, October 24, all-girl Zep powerhouse Zepparella will be returning to headline at the Bottom of the Hill. Guitarist Gretchen Menn's original project, Sticks and Stones, will be opening the night, with Turbonegra (all-girl Turbonegro tribute) in the support slot. http://www.myspace.com/turbonegra666

Sticks and Stones is Gretchen Menn and Mickael Tremel on dueling guitars, and local legend Sam Adato on drums. It's heavy, melt-your-face-off, instrumental rock. http://www.sticksandstonesmusic.com

San Francisco's legendary band Zepparella bring a live show that harnesses the music of Led Zeppelin in a triumph of artistry, no gimmicks. They capture the energy of arena rock without the vanity, drawing inspiration from a pure devotion to perfecting the mastery of Led Zeppelin's music.

Zepparella is four seriously talented musicians who have loved and studied this music long enough to make it a part of themselves; they are intent on bringing the passion, the beauty, the aggression, and the musicality of Led Zeppelin alive.

Says drummer Clementine, "We approach the music as we think Zeppelin did, taking musical chances within the structure of great songs. What happens at the time is exactly what should be happening."

Zepparella is touring in support of their new release, A Pleasing Pounding. The album features powerful performances of nine classic Led Zeppelin songs, recorded last fall - one night, one take - during a very special and intimate performance at the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco.
