I don’t usually dig bands like Worker Bee. Blame it on my freshman year roommate, who poisoned me against any band that sounded like they might share cardigans with Sufjan Stevens or Bright Eyes. Though nothing in her collection made sufficient use of the decibel level she played it at, she felt the need to blast bands like The Postal Service from sunup to sundown. Our next door neighbors hated us. I have to say, I’m a little embarrassed. I spent so long swearing off music that reminded me of The Roommate From Hell that I missed out on a whole lot. Worker Bee does sound like something I might have come home to after a GE class, but they don’t sound a damn thing like Bright Eyes. And I'm thankful for that.More Info
