It's been over a decade since locals Whiskey Sunday released their powerhouse self-titled LP (known affectionately as the "Jack Daniel's" album due to the similarities between the cover and a bottle of Jack.) They took the no-frills approach to making an aggressive, guttural punk-rock album that is very listenable, without layering on any sugary-sweet pop-punk melodies, relying instead on fist-pumping anthems. They've recently rereleased their LP on Vine Hell; it's now titled Thanks 4 the Violence, and has five bonus tracks. Instead of Jack, they went with a Wild Turkey–themed cover. Guess these guys really like whiskey.
