Description
Ever since our 43rd president was elected, I’ve been convinced nothing good could come out of Texas. But I must admit that Austin-based rock band When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth has erased some of the lingering animosity I have toward the Lone Star state. Named after the 1970 B-list movie, When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth is a raucous, rowdy band rooted in the post-grunge of the late 1990s. By enlisting the help of two guitarists, two drummers, two singers and a single bass player, Dinosaurs creates a force of psychopathic, acid-induced (I’m assuming) sludge-rock tunes that just make you want to hit something. Sorry about that, Marley! Don’t call PETA while Mommy’s at work! Good dog! Dirty Pillows, Matsuri and Amonie opens.
