Streetlight Records is hosting a double bill of soulful, roots-inspired singer-songwriters. Peter Chung is a solo artist who grew up playing gospel music in his church, while also listening to heavy doses of John Mayer in his free time. He's fused these two elements to create some bluesy, honest songwriting, that even with only vocals and an acoustic guitar, sound full. Walking Spanish, while actually a four-piece band, definitely approach their music from a singer-songwriter's perspective. They play straight up rock and roll with bits of country, blues and some Beatles song-structures for good measure. Their lead vocalist has some strong pipes.
