Description

Musae, the groundbreaking twelve-voice women’s vocal ensemble, continues its journey of heartfelt, adventurous music making with its 5th Anniversary Season’s opening concert, Waitin’ for the Light to Shine. This program showcases Musae in collaboration with Menlo Brass Quintet, and offers music spanning six centuries and four continents.

Renew your holiday spirit with Joan Szymko’s “A la Media Noche;” Martin Laurisden’s “Sure on This Shining Night;” favorites by Antoine Charpentier, Johannes Brahms, and Maurice Duruflé; a two-minute whirlwind extravaganza of thirty holiday songs; and traditional favorites including “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “The First Nowell.”
