1962 - 1999

The Pestana building was located on First and San Carlos from 1962 until 1999. Originally Security Savings - a savings and loan. It has now been demolished

At some point it became Mr. P's restaurant. Note revolving sign on roof.

The building has been vacant for seven years and cost the city about a million to tear down.

Alan Hess, the architecture writer for the Mercury News, refers to this building as a "Jetsonian gem of the boom years of the 1950s and 1960s."
